Did anyone else lose their email?

So I haven't been able to get into my email lately. I'm wondering if the hackers somehow got ahold of it from here? Because I think my email account has been hacked. I try to get in, and it acts like my password is wrong. I try to recover it, and it says 'We can't find a match for that email address. Check to be sure that you entered the email address you chose when you set up your account for online access. Then try again.' This is the email I've had for years. It was actually my first. What the f**k...

I lost my second e-mail address, the one I had for personal contacts (the one for business remained untouched).

Happened years ago, but I'm still not sure how and why it happened.
Was just like you say; one day, they told me the password was wrong, it had obviously been changed without my knowledge.
I'm sure it was hackers who used it for spamming or whatever, because I tried to register on some site I had never been on previously and they told me my adress was banned!

Scary stuff, because I've always had full protection software, firewall etc, and I've never been to obscure sites either.

the only way the hackers could get your email from here is if you had your password info somewhere in your messages or something. The best thing to do is follow the steps given by your email provider to recover your email, change your password, and add secondary verification through your phone.
