Even though it says it is for children 3yrs+ I bought it for my 1yr old daughter. I figured it would be a fun, "supervised play," toy, and since it can go in the water she can have something else to play with in the bath. Well she loves it, so much in fact that it is constantly talking/singing, my baby doesn't talk that much yet, but she can now happily babble under the sea well enough for me to actually understand what she's saying lol.
