Hey everyone,

I’ve been having some issues with one of my speakers recently. It’s not producing sound consistently, and I’m not sure if it’s a wiring issue, a blown driver, or something else. Has anyone here experienced a similar problem? I’d appreciate any suggestions on troubleshooting the issue.

Should I try replacing the driver myself, or would it be better to consult a professional for repairs? I’m looking for some guidance on how to proceed without potentially damaging the speaker further.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hey!

It sounds like you might be dealing with either a wiring issue or a blown driver. First, check the wiring connections, ensuring they’re secure and not frayed or loose. If the wiring looks good, you can test the speaker with another set of cables to rule out the wiring. Also, consider using a speaker cleaner (https://fixmyspeakeer.com/) to gently clean the speaker terminals and connections, as dust and debris can sometimes cause connectivity issues.

If the problem persists, it could be the driver itself. If you’re comfortable with it, you could try inspecting or replacing the driver yourself, but if you're unsure, I’d recommend taking it to a professional. They can diagnose the issue more thoroughly and avoid any further damage. Good luck!
