Hey everyone,
I've been making my tails for 4 years now and I'm very happy with my new one but I've always had something for those beautiful silicone tails, more specifically, the MVD tails. And I can't stop thinking about them, I fell in love with them, to say the least...
Now, I was wondering, if there's someone who has an MVD tail and wanting to sell it, please contact me. Or if you know about where I could find a secondhand MVD tail you can also contact me.
The reason that I want a secondhand one is because I simply can't afford the new ones and the shipping is also to expensive. I can save up money but it will take a very long time, too long. I could sell my sequin tail I made to speed it up a bit but I can't let go of it yet.
Please help me,
Thanks in advance

I just want to tell you, I have several friends who do or have owned MVD tails, and they find them very very heavy and difficult to use. Beautiful and realistic? yes. But one of my friends just doesnt even use hers anymore because it's too difficult. I haven't personally used one, so this is just second hand, but maybe something to consider. If you think you can handle it, then by all means.

Yeah, I think they weigh around 60-70 lbs. from reading on the forum. I love the way he does extra fins and dorsals, plus the scales are pretty great. Just make sure you read up on the entire forum everywhere about MVD before your purchase as I know some people hate the footpockets too. They're gorgeous though. :) <3

Thx guys, yeah I know, I've read and heard a lot about them, it's to bad you can't try those tails first before purchasing them, but I am a strong swimmer and I'd like to think that I can handle them :-p. About those footpockets, is it true that it's just one big pocket? I find that part a little difficult to understand.
But still, I'd love to have one. Thanks for the advice :-)
AniaR: Do you know if some of the people you know might be interested in selling their MVD tail? Would you mind figuring that out for me? sorry if it's rude.

I'd say that unless someone is VOLUNTEERING selling it, they'd probably overcharge for it since they aren't quite ready to sell it. Also, the chances of one being in your size is going to be pretty difficult too. I wish you luck but it'll probably be a while, especially if you want a specific fluke or are picky about colors or etc.
The footpocket I believe is just that he basically took a footpocket--just two places for your feet (maybe one? could be possible) and stuck it in the silicone. No monofin or reinforcement in the silicone, just the footpocket to keep your feet from moving around. That's what I believe he does, you could email and ask if you're super curious but you probably won't get a reply.

yeah, you're right. I must say though, that I'm not very picky in colors and fluke, so luckily that won't be to much of a problem. And when one does come up for sale and it's bit over priced, hopefully we can agree on a price we both like (I know, I'm to optimistic)
