I don't know quite where else to put this- last night I was in a part of San Diego called Old Town and discovered a new shop. Mermaid's Cove. It is SO pretty- though I only got to see it from the outside, because I was there after it had closed for the day. I peered through the windows for quite a while. Anyone in San Diego or visiting ought to take it in! Apparently they both have this lovely little Old Town store and a section of Pangea, in two of their locations- Pacific Beach and Del Mar.

Neither their Facebook page or their website does the store justice. But here they are:

ETA- You can see the shop in a couple pics, here is one: 15423

I have no idea if the owners are familiar with MerNetwork. But I must let every mer know about the place. They do have an online shop, and the decor alone is worth checking. I want to go back when they're open and see all the ornaments they had hanging on a little tree. There was an amazing octopus table... prints... statues... everything a mer's heart could desire in a boutique setting.

I just found their page a few weeks ago too! It doesn't seem like they know about the network but if someone goes to visit they can tell them about it.

I really want to visit ! Their mermaid book collection seems to be amazing

I wonder if they're new? I lived in SD for years and went to Old Town once a month or so, never saw this place! Looks very pretty :) Hahaha I like the "Mermaids Welcome, Shells Optional" sign :eyebrows::jester:

I was a regular to Old Town until I moved to Portland in 2009. Got back to SD a year ago and haven't been able to go to Old Town much. I also didn't know they were in Pangea in PB or Del Mar, but I don't frequent either place.

It's toward the outside of Old Town- across the street and down a block or so from that great little cemetery, El Campo Santo.
