Many of you know me here.. But you may not know me beyond the mermaid. I don't like to ask for help. Actually I'm very stubborn when it comes to asking for help. I have to be in a desperate state. I've come to that. I've not been able to buy my medications for my diabetes or my blood pressure. $21 for a month. On top of that... I don't even have money for gas to get to work. If any one has it to spare.... I'd be ever grateful for the help. Please even a $1 is welcome. My Paypal is j_hammett@hotmail.com

Thank.

I've already sold everything I had of value. . Jewlery included. .. I'm at a loss for what to do. I've no family I can ask for help other than my mer family.

I'm sorry you're in this situation. I've been there, and it's the worst. I don't have a way to help, but I did want to mention that some pharmacies can direct you to a program or such to get meds free, even if just for a month. Also, ask your doctor if they have samples they can give you. Explain your situation, that you can't pay for an appt right now, but ask if they can give you enough samples to get you through the month. If not, they might be able to help in some other way. I've had great luck with that, myself.

you probably shouldnt commit to secret santa if you're having hard times. I had a hard bit a few years back, and got rid of my phone/internet/cable for a few months to pay for my meds. Checking the flyers for coupons and sales helped get cheaper food. What deepblue said about free samples works too to get you through a week or two. Some pharma companies will actually give you free meds if you call them up and ask for some. Like, I'm serious. We've done it, and it's not just a Canadian thing. They give a code to your pharmacist and they punch it in and the company gives you 1 round of your meds for free. In Canada we have a pharmacare program too you may have something similar in your state. I find many states do, they just don't advertise it so people can't take advantage. So try those things, but really if it's that bad that you can't afford 21$ I'd cancel your internet or suspend your phone or something like that. it sucks to go without it for a month or two but those bills are typically expensive and can pay for a lot.

@raina.. was planning on gifting my person with a home made item. ive tons of crafting goodies in my studio. so it wouldnt be a burden... got to do something to lift my spirit.

@deepblue I have already contacted my doc.. they dont have samples for the stuff I am on. Tried contacting a co-op but I dont qualify for thier program. Luckily.. all my vital (bp and glucose) seem to be ok. Ive been checking them on a regualar interval to make sure I dont have any issues. They are elevated but not at a dangerous level. Ive been watching my diet very very carefully.

I do want to mention that Echi has donated a sum to me and as soon as it clears through paypal I will be getting my medications. Thank you so much. As i mentioned in a pm. Im sending her a thank you gift. A hand colored original print from my first Comsic Ocean design and a Support Mermaids Magnet. Its all I have to offer as a thank you.

I was brought to tears when I received the message. Im glad I have my mer family. Dont know what I would do without you all!
