Probably not made to order, I think they were on-hand and he sent them for the shoot. They do fit badly and my non-mer friends have commented to me on it, so it's not just me being picky!

this whole "project mermaid" is pretty much identical to one that was already done a few years ago with celebrities. There was even a video documentary made. The only difference is they used fabric tails and then photomanipulated over the top. Even some of the photos look posed exactly like old ones. It was posted about on the forum years ago, I can't find links but I'll go on a hunt and show you. They published a book, did a few ads, and did some film work. I think it was called the mermaid project. lol. Anyone from the old days (aka 2-3 years ago) know what I'm talking about?

so yeah, to me this is just a rehashed project meant for publicity for mertailor and the photographer. *shrug* From what I've seen so far from the series it's really not that different than any of the mermaid photography already out there. But I have a high standard, there's only a few mermaid photos I'd even consider really high up. Linden in Jellyfish lake is one of em ;)

He actively seeks out celebrity work so he can use it to endorse his tails. Most other tail makers are too damn busy. But I've seen celebs in mermagica tails and foxmoon tails. Also a lot of other tail makers just use their fb and get loads of business, some don't have websites. Most people just don't have time to constantly be putting out marketing materials. Raven barely advertises what she does, all she does is FB, and she has a wait list years long.
