Hey guys! So I've decided to write a short paper on mermaids (it's in another language so that's why it can be whatever I want). It will only be about 2 pages. So far this is my outline.

I. Introduction

II. What is a mermaid?
A. Where the term came from
B. Anatomy

III. History
A. Mythology
B. Idea that female divers were considered mermaids (there is another thread here on this and I need to find it!)

IV. Modern day mermaid
A. Breath Holding
B. Cosplay/ mermaiding/ mermaid community

V. Conclusion

What do you guys think? What else do you think I can add that is important to mermaids? I can't go too in depth about everything but I definitely want to hit the main points! Am I missing anything? Are there any cool facts you guys know of that I can include?

Cool! Japanese Pearl divers it's what you're looking for, and don't forget, manatees were also mistaken for mermaids!

Yes, thank you! I'm definitely including the part about manatees in the mythology section too.

We've had big discussions on here about mermaid/merman reproduction (if you want to include that in your paper since it's kind of anatomy as well)

The elaborate theory on pearl divers is a thread in this subforum, "Origin of mermaid legends", on page 3.

Good luck with your paper!

Don't forget the mermen. We exist and there would be no mermaids without us ;)

^^ debatable, but it would be more boring without them for sure :p

if you're doing anatomy make sure to mention one of the most important part of one, the spine. the spine is curtail to how one swim. what if those mermaids with two tails was a medical disorder or mutation?

I tried to write an article about mermaids. But it didn't work out. Probably due to a lack of awareness. In general, writing articles, essays, and other writing assignments is not about me. That's why now when I need to write my dissertation I did not hesitate to turn to cheap dissertation writing services uk (https://www.essaygeeks.co.uk/dissertation/) to write my paper. I think I was not wrong and my work will be successful.

I also think it's important to be knowledgeable about every aspect of writing specific documents. Because it's such an important document, I had to look for professional assistance to write a personal statement for a fellowship application at personal statement fellowship (https://www.fellowshippersonalstatements.com/) . They only use medical experts who possess the required knowledge and a wealth of writing experience to provide effective admission texts.
