Where is it?
What is it?
What's the story?

The other forum is The Wavedancers of Atlantis, which is readable by approved members only. Kanti and Morticia created it after some drama on here in the spring. More power to them- I always support the growth of the community :) MerNetwork isn't for everyone, and I understand and respect that. That's why we have other groups and forums and things all over social media, so we can all stay connected despite what network we favor. I invited Kanti to post a thread about it, since I knew she was inviting members via pm (I knew because she actually accidentally set off the anti spam software wither her enthusiasm in sending out so many PMs in a short amount of time- whoops!), but she declined.

Because the launch of that site followed drama from on here, there were some posts criticizing admins of MerNetwork and Raina, as well as some unfounded rumors. However, anyone with suggestions for how to run MerNetwork can always post them in the suggestions thread! People are always welcome to contribute :)

I joined the Wavedancers site. I think it's great to have another mermaid site but, I don't know. The Network is so built up and has so much information on it, it's hard to just drop it and move somewhere else.

Mertailor also frequently says he's making his own forum which people confuse for another forum too. But he never made it.

I joined the Wavedancer's site.... But uh.... Well, I guess I wasn't active enough, because my account got notified for inactivity, and then when I tried to reactivate it, it just didn't work. Lol.

Really? I stopped going there for months then last week or so I just went and logged back in and I got in perfectly fine.

Yeah, honestly, I have no idea what happened.

BUT I do know that I personally can't be arsed to be forced into activity. Once I'm required to be active somewhere, I'm not having fun with it. So it's probably for the best. I guess if I want to go back to it I can start a new account or something, but I doubt that'll happen. I'm incredibly lazy. Like... INCREDIBLY lazy....

I completely agree with this.

I had some issues with my account too but I think I fixed it. The last time I was on it, I was going to ask Kanti for some advice with a project I was going to be starting. I don't think I ever got a reply. I sent her a message in early June I think and I checked back for a month and didn't get any sort of response. I haven't been on it since then.

funny thing.. I joined under a fake name.. cause kanti and I dont see eye to eye.. she figured out is was me..banned me.. then i kept getting the "inactive notice" but Im banned so ya.. kinda dumb...

Weird, Im still a bit fresh here but it seems like the other forum is run in a very elitist fashion, tell me if you think I'm wrong for saying that. :/

I wouldn't say elitist - I don't pretend to know all the details, but it was borne from disagreement between members of the community, to such a degree that some members felt they needed to leave MN.
Idk, I mean I like it here, but others just didn't feel like they connected with a lot of the members and that's fine too. Better to leave and not bother with the arguments and bitching than to stay and have it keep coming up as an issue. This way the people who don't want anything to do with Atlantis members can stay here, people who disagree with people on MN can go there, and people who have no issues with anyone (like me) can frequent both.
