Just ordered my first silicone tail from Sirenalia. I was originally going to make my first one, but they're selling them at material cost right now, and I figured, why not? I love the tails she's made so far. I've been following Maria's work and she hands down seems like the nicest person ever and she's got that artistic spirit that just adds that extra oomph to stuff.

I haven't decided whether to post my tail design yet, I would rather give Maria some artistic freedom and not compare the drawing to real life.

BUT, just click the link to see the picture that inspired the design. We have the best sunsets in Colorado and I wanted to capture it in my tail!

Eeee! They have some travel plans for December, but it should be done in late January, right around my birthday!

I'm so exciteddddd!

I'm so excited to be part of your learning experience!

Those colors are so robust, it's going to be a real challenge, sorry!

But yes, Colorado is awesome! (So is Texas, tons of family down there) It would be so much fun to have a Sirenalia tail party! Swimming time is restricted here in Colorado though. It's not too fun to swim in the snow!

yeah...swimming isn't so great unless it's a heated pool or an indoors pool...the closest major indoor pool to our house in South Fork is in Alamosa...so...50 minutes away. South Fork, what I noticed a few months ago when I went back for the first time in YEARS, is mainly people from Texas. Most people who have homes on our street are from Texas and those who come up to camp at Fun Valley and other surrounding areas are from Texas lol

James, do you not live in Texas anymore? ( excuse my prying, I was just wondering because I had thought you were an Austinite). I'm a proud Longhorn! Hook em!

That's so funny! I was actually supposed to go to the sand dunes and pagosa springs this weekend, but we scrapped those plans due to snow. I'm a Fort Collins gal. Opposite side of Colorado. I'm so thankful it's a big town because I don't have to travel an hour to go swimming! That must be terrible!

In Fort Collins, we're lucky to have three indoor city pools (and my boyfriend does the chemicals for them) plus some private pools like a dive shop, all the gyms, and the hotels (I still can't figure out why we have a scuba shop in a landlocked, snowy state).

It seems like Colorado and Texas trade people a lot. I think the snow brings them in, and the Coloradoans escape to Texas for the warmth. I'm already tired of the snow after one day of it!

and thanks Annareia! I love all sky related things!

I know! She's so artsy and sweet! They've already called me and texted me to make sure they've got everything set up right (I have wonky measurements because of my awesome dancing thunder-thighs), such good customer service!!!!

oh no! I do live in Austin lol I've only lived in Austin for a little over two years. I was actually raised in Montréal and moved to San Antonio when I was like 8. In the third grade we started to go to Colorado every winter/summer because my grandmother had built a house for us in South Fork and I had spent many many years going there.
