(I love that greeting. Nobody ever expects it.)

Hello, everybody. I happened to talk to malinghi on deviantArt yesterday, and that led me to perusing this here forum. Seems interesting enough, so I thought I'd pop in, participate a bit.

Might as well do the "a little about me" thing, so here goes!

I am not really into costume mer-tails and such. The look of them just seems off to me. I like pictures and aesthetics of the idea more than any real life implementations... I like to draw mers a lot, and I do admit to owning a monofin, which I <3 using.

Apart from mer stuff, I am a programmer, and like most computery things. I spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet, playing games, and doing things less productive than I intend to. I like strategy games and RPGs mostly, but my favorite game series are Zelda, Total War, Megaman, and Elder Scrolls.

I like other stuff, too, but there's no need to go into a big long ramble, I think.

Thanks!

:D That's cool. I'm one of the people who run the (mostly inactive) group "Mermafied" on dA. Unfortunately, I don't have total control, and the guy who does hasn't been online in quite some time...

Nice to see someone else use ahoy, most appropriate for sea fairin' types.

Welcome aboard.

:D Zelda is always win. In fact, one of the websites I visit daily is a Zelda forum.

And yeah, 'ahoy' is a good greeting for seafolk. :) I am a sailor, so, it fits.

(Also, a valiant effort to spell my name there, sean. XD )

Tohopekaliga not Tohapekaiga...There I think I got it right this time.
Sorry about that
I have never done any sailing at all, I want to some day.
I have done white water rafting and canoeing on different rivers here in alberta and in bc.
tons of fun. Plus speed boating.
When I was younger me and some of my friends would drive the skidoos across the lake.

Other than that I have been land locked...lol

No worries about the name thing. It's certainly unusual. Most people just write "Toho."

Rafting and canoeing are fun. :D Being landlocked isn't, though. :(

Cool introduction. I used to play a lot of fantasy strategy games (Lords of Magic, the Heroes of Might and Magic series, Disciples, Age of Wonders, Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, etc) and was always disappointed that there were so few merfolk units.
