Hi! I'm Lira... I'm new here :) just a quick question, and it might be a silly one, but I've been looking into getting this (http://www.fins4u.com/spearfishing_and_freediving_fins/monofins/monofin_finswimmer_P598.html) monofin. But I'm not totally sure what it means by small wings... or blade protection... and about what blade stiffness would be closest to the Competitor? Any help would be great :)

Bladeprotection is a small border of rubber on the strait edge of the monofin so you can't cut yourself or anymer else ;) For stiffness you need to go for soft ;) Don't know anything about the wings

Awesome :) do you know what the difference is like between the soft and the medium?

The soft blade is more flexible, the medium more stiff, the hard is very stiff. I have this fin in a medium http://specialfins.com/eng_products.php?menu_id=14 I love it, but I will go with a soft for my next one.

Ooh okay :) I'd assume the soft blade still has a lot more propulsion than the finis wave I have right now though, yeah? :)

Likely so, as it has more surface area.

Okay (: I'd hate to spend that much money on a fin that only works a little better than the one I have already, you know?

I have one in soft and it's has very much propulsion. Way more that a wave ;)

Yay! I'm getting it to go in my new tail. Hoping and praying that this tail will turn out just right :) haha I've made four already, two of which didn't quite make it past the first two swims, and the other two have little propulsion :P
