NC Merfest Withdrawl... Not going? Let's plan something!

I don't know about you guys, but as one of the sad mers who cannot make it to NC Metfest thanks to my job (school starts up again January 6th!) I feel SO sad thinking about the upcoming get together. I thought maybe those of us unfortunate enough to be stuck at home could plan a time to Skype that weekend or something? Or do something else to make us feel not so stuck at home alone? Just an idea, definitely open to suggestions. I am just so sad I am not going, it is unbelievable.

That's a great idea. Being on the West Coast and having my travel plans cancelled, due to my broken ankle, I'd love to do an online Mer-meet some time.

How about setting a time/date, and make it a virtual Merfest?
Just like irl, just online?

I suggest SL for this.
There's a thread in Conventions and Gatherings, some mers from the site got together in SL,
but a full-fledged merfest with lots of attendance on a certain day could be even better.

I would love another gathering since I wasn't able to go to this years merfest even thought I live in NC I know right URGG I hope I can go to the next one
