Hey Guys! Starting up the whole new organization/business thing ( Purple Rainbow Tails https://www.facebook.com/jazzmergirl?ref=hl ) has been a blast yet difficult. I was thinking about how I would go about making the size of the scale mold that will fit various sizes and thought any input would be helpful. The measurements will be from belly button to ankles. I was thinking to making it 5 ft long ( tall ppl out there and I need extra scales to overlap the fluke ) and somewhere between 2 ft and 30 inches wide ( each tail will require 2 scale sheet castings so that means the largest diameter measurement must be 48 in- 60 in total ) but I wasn't sure if that's wide enough or long enough. I just would like to get this right, and any tips or advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Jazz, that sounds about right. With me being 6 ft tall, it really helped out to just make a longer board. Your measurements for width will leave you ample space to work with... I would suggest the 30 inch, and then you can make layover templates for each person's measurements( it would seem like a cutout with the part of their measurements removed) to lay over it so you do not waste material when casting the scales.
