Hello, all!

I'm Kaitlynn, I live in Northern VA, and I'm 19. I've been fascinated by mermaids since I was little, but never realized that Mers were actually a
thing.

I was happy to find this forum, it's been very helpful. I love the pictures everyone posts!

Although someday I'd like to try making a silicone tail, for now I'm starting on a fabric one. Today, I'm going swimming to test my monofin for the first time, and I'm extremely excited.

MermaidBrittany: I have a Fin Fun Monofin Pro. I chose it because it was already tail-shaped, and because it's in my price range, haha.

AniaR: Haha! I used this username because it's the same as my tumblr. I play Sims 2, and they have fabulous mermaid mods. :)

My first practice went well! And two little girls asked if I was a mermaid, so that made me happy.

I play Sims 2 also, but have only in the last few months been checking out mods. Any suggestions for mermaids?

Also nice to meet you! Have you checked out the member map yet? You can see if anyone lives close to you :)

ShyMer: I have checked the member map, it's very informative. :) There are people kind of within driving distance, but I don't drive much.

I see you there now, you are probably the closest to me other than one user who isn't active :( I'm in Frederick all the time- maybe we'll meet up someday. It's about time for Chesapeake to get together anyway.
