Merbella Tops and bras <3

Hi everyone *waves*

so I was thinking that there are threads for tails but I haven't seen any for Merbella tops!
So please forgive me if there is and I haven't found it but I would love to start one for tops that Raven has made/ designed for herself or her customers :) so if you have tops from Raven that you haven't had a chance to show here's your chance <3

also so feel free to add top designs that you have designed so we can all have a look and give our opinions <3

A shell top. Not as comfortable as silicone, but very authentic looking and love all the extra bits.

I don't wear this one anymore, I put on weight and it doesn't fit, but it's awesome. I just suggest wearing clear bar straps so you dont flash anyone

Just received it a month ago =D I would love to own the seaweed top from Finfolk too, so whenever I'm ready to order my tail, I'll order a top as well ^_^
(And I still love the Atlantis style tops from Merbella, hoping to own one one day)

Question, when swimming with the strapless merbella top, the top tends to flap open.. (don't know if there's a name for that) but that's what happens. The sizing is just like all my regular bra's/tops but it's the first time swimming with something strapless. Any idea's how I can adjust this? Or am I doing something wrong?

I think that's just common with something that doesn't have straps holding it up. I think that'll happen unless you put spirit gum or something to stick the top of it down onto your chest or put straps.

Yup, it happens with strapless bras, so I wear clear straps. Or nude coloured straps. Kids never notice.

guys i was looking through merbella's FAQ and the FAQ About wait times on her facebook page.. i REAALLY want a scale corset top but i don't want to be flooding her inbox ;__; so i'm gathering info and sending in one email.
how much did it cost you ladies? (obviously cost will depend on labour time etcetcetc..)

I'm not sure if she's sold any scale corsets. I know she made one for herself of course. Regular scale tops are about $90 I think so it would probably be a bit more than that.

The octopus and seaweed tops I believe are around $250-$300, scale tops are like $130 ish (I think they used to be like $90 but the prices got raised on them?) and I'm not sure about the others.

I want one really badly because it's absolutely gorgeous, but I think I read when I saw it on her facebook or something that it only happened because a seaweed top came out of the mold wrong, so she made the one. Does she/will she make more of them? I have my heart set on it and I want to know if she'd make me one, but i don't want to bother her because I know she gets flooded with emails (mostly from 11-year-olds and people who don't read FAQ's) and I don't want to bug her at all

i do know that this was a mistake top but i am sure if you emailed her when you are ready with the money with the topic ''ready to order'' you would be able to discuss making a custom top for you like this one but beware there most likely will be an additional cost. good luck

I can't claim credit for the image in my signature; I found it on DA and just edited the colours to match my tail and added some text. All done easily in GIMP :)

I wonder how many other people want the seaweed/scale top. Maybe if the demand gets high enough she'll start making them and it won't cost extra for a special order or whatever. If I ordered one right now though, how much would it cost since it's sort of custom? Would the price be closer to the scale top price, or the seaweed top price? or higher than both? Sorry for so many annoying questions, I'm trying to get a total price estimate of all my soon-to-order Merbellas stuff I plan on getting, and I want to make sure I have all the money I'll be needing before I contact Raven about anything. I know she gets a lot of junk from people, and I want to make my purchases go as easily and smoothly as possible :) I have a lot of respect for Raven and don't want to give her a hard time.

I totaly understand your concern with your tops cost but I think to be on the safe side you should be in the 350-400 dollar zone but it could be more or less but just be safe and email raven with the email subject if "ready to order" good luck.

Does anyone know how long the usual wait time is for tops? I ordered two tops on etsy, one in the end of December and the other on the 3rd of January. I know since I ordered two I am going to have to wait longer, which I have no problem with. I would wait forever for one of her tops. I haven't wrItten her yet because I didn't want to bother her I know she works hard and is always busy. So I was just curious if any of my fellow Mers knew typically how long the wait is. Thanks in advance! :)

it depends if they were premade or if you ordered them to be made. I know Raven is finishing up a batch of tails at the moment. I waited just over 2 months for my tops. However it doesnt hurt to send a polite email, "hey I ordered on ___ just making sure they're in the queue!" to remind her :)

The tops I ordered where not premade, they were both made to order. I did notice that she has been really busy, so I didn't want to bother her. I think I'll give her a few more days. Thank you Raina. I worry about sounding annoying or pushy if I ask for an update lol. Thankfully no email was necessary and she emailed me earlier today saying she'll be sending photos soon of the coloring. I can't wait to see. =)
