Oh no! How come?!

Because the economy sucks; same as everyone else. I worked for a Defense contractor.

Oh wow. Well I think you should just sell your costumes. You make some absolutely gorgeous outfits.

That would be great but unfortunately since the economy sucks not many people have money for costumes. :(

I'm sorry to hear that. I work at Target and have a college degree so I somewhat know how you feel. I know it's better then no having a job but I thought my life would be better then this 3 or 4 years ago. My girlfriend is job hunting now after just 3 months from graduating from VCU and still hardly any nibbles.

I really hope you find something soon,

I'm sorry >:
Only thing I can say is don't wait to look for another job if you want one... Once 6 months goes by, you are basically considered 'untouchable' by most establishments. ;< It sucks but..its the truth.

There is no chance of me waiting; already updating and posting resume.

Good for you Scarlet~ ^^ I am glad that you are proactive.

I mean it still sucks, but at least you have that. I just said that because I didn't want you finding out the hard way >:

I'm really sorry scarlet. Have you tried talking to your school's alumni dept? They might have some recruitment events or something for grads. Also I don't know where you are in Tx or what you were doing at the defense contractor, but I think there's a rocket company called spacex that's expanding their operations in tx. They might be close to the same industry you were in.

Keep at it and dont get down! Post anywhere and everywhere you can, check ads, check monster, check private defense and security companies.

I did not go to a college; I went straight into the military from high school. I am a veteran and will be making use of any assistance they might give as well.

I feel your pain, an sorry to hear. I live in upstate ny and the job market realy sucks for the whole state. I have been unemployed for 6 years and still cant find a job. I have well over 400 applacations out for anything, for being a janitor to construction. An it seems that noboy wants to hire or they are full enough with employees. But I did find out for every one that I fill out there are at least 30 to 40 people filling out the same applaction for the same spot. So it's not just where you are it's everywhere.

I would agree vallee33. It seems so hard finding a job at the moment, I know, I'm still trying to find one. For me it's either I don't have any previous experience, when applying to restaurants or fast food, or they say they're hiring and then after interviewing they suddenly decide they don't want to hire anyone. But you just have to keep on at it! I interviewed for McDonalds a little while ago and I heard that as soon as they put the hiring sign up, within two days they had received 300 application forms. And they only needed to fill three spots.
