Hi! I'm new to this forum, and not 100% sure exactly how it works. But anyway, thanks for reading this! :D I am currently working on my second painted fabric tail. My last one was nice, but the paint color was a bit dull. I found a few pictures of tails with Lumiere paint, and thought that the shimmer the paint gave was beautiful. With my last tail, I used about 7 tubes of different colors of fabric paints on that one, and I was cutting it close.
I want this new tail to be totally covered in scales, save for the fluke. So, to be safe (and because there was a great sail on the paint :money:) I bought 11 2.25oz Lumiere paint bottles. Looking back, I think I must have been crazy at the time. It's not going to be that big of a tail, but is 11 bottles going to cover it? or is 11 an absurd amount of paint? I'm new to using Lumiere paint, and really hope I didn't make a mistake. I will be using paintbrushes, and not airbrushing it. Thanks for reading this, any help is appreciated! :D

Hi. Im currently painting my neoprene tail and painting the whole front and back (plus a top) I've used about 9 bottles, plus or minus a little bit with other colours from previous bottles I had bought. I think it's better to have more than less, the excess can be used to paint another fabric in a more basic design with a few lines here and there (as seen from my blue fabric tail which I'm using to practice while finishing the neoprene). Hope this helped, if not good luck with your tail ^_^
