Seahorse Shell Top

First time making my very own shell top! I found a sea horse key chain at Sam Moon. One side was painted ugly pink and covered in fake diamonds in an awkward pattern, but the other side was pretty gold, so he got put in the middle--showing off his best side, of course. ;)

I am having trouble figuring out how to hide the straps well, though. I can't figure out how to attach the netting in a way that both looks decent, fits when I put it on, and hides the straps. Any suggestions?

Nice! Love the seahorse embellishment! As for the straps, see how long you need the netting to be to cover the straps, and mark it. then lay both out flat. The straps may be shorter than the netting. Hand sew little darts (I use flesh toned or brown thread) to tie the netting to the straps. Sew both ends first, then space out the extra netting and sew a little in from both ends (symmetrical) so that the "extra" is spaced out evenly. It may be bunching out, but as long as it's even it's fine. That way when you put it on it fits right :) I do that with the back bands on my bra - becuase they're really elastic-y and stretch a lot and obviously the netting doesn't. Hope that helps :)

I cut the straps off and sew the netting to it and tie the netting like a halter-top.
