Stunning Italian Mermaid Tails

I found this Italian SPFX artist on DA who has made a stunning silicone mermaid tail. I've contacted them and invited them to join the forum. Check out these photos!

This is one of the most amazing silicone tails I've ever seen! It looks extremely realistic and I love the dorsal fin and waist,

not sure about this tail. i dont like the texture but if the tail truly conceals the legs in the photos then thats really good and i like that part =)

I really like this tail alot. The color and texture are amazing and the hidden feet are great if they are not photoshopped. I would be concerned if it is swimable or not?

The texture doesn't bother me. It's different, and I like that. Also great there's somebody doing higher-end tails in Europe now that Adam is out of the game. I remember we had a thread from somebody in Europe on Yuku looking for somebody to do a tail and not have to spend a second fortune on shipping from the U.S.

I have a theory that this hobby mostly spreads through social networking and people mostly associate with those who speak their own language, so theirs been a delayed appearance of merfolk costuming outside of non-English speaking countries (with the exception of Germany). I'm curious if merfolk costuming will start to become popular in countries where we haven't seen it so far.

Her tail is stunning, thanks for finding and posting these photos! The fluke looks too small to house a monofin though . . . I wonder if he'd make similar tails with monofins?

I know the fishtails and H20 tails don't have monofins but are similar to Mike's and have a foot pocket.

Those are gorgeous tails! I like the texture- it's different. They really did to a good job hiding feet/heels/knees! I had seen this pic (https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/315893_280749185277325_278672975484946_1141264_164 6145913_n.jpg) before, and was very intrigued as to where it came from! Now I have mer eye candy!

I don't think this is a new tailmaker, is it? I think these people just do photography. Do we actually know who made this tail, and if they plan to go into business selling them?

yes they made the tails, and they did the photos (just as they have made all their other costumes and done photos), I've been communicating with them on FB and have shared their page several times. At the moment they aren't selling their tails

Those photosets are just breathtaking...especially the merman. ;) I really like the texture of the tail. It's unique and looks organic even if it's not clean or neat looking. Plus the photographer's skill really helps with this overall natural look. I wonder how it'd look in person.

I know this is from wayyyy back, but DAYUM that texture is nuts! it's like the merpeople have been hanging around a rusty shipwreck and have grown to blend in with the surroundings :O

Gorgeous! I love how narrow it gets right before the fluke, it really looks real. I wonder how they managed to completely hide the heels? I'm guessing that there must be some space between the feet and the start of the fluke, that's the only way I can figure on it being so thin in the tail's 'ankle' area. Also, that fluke shape is basically my absolute favorite!

I know! I just hope you're right about the feet, that they didn't use photoshop or something. Also, if they were swimmable AND extended tails, they'd be even more incredible

Wow, fintastic tails! It's refreshing to see a well crafted tail that's not all hung up on showing every scale. I imagine it would be way easier for a home tailmaker to crank out one of these, too. Probably cold use Fifi Tigg's method and bypass the whole scale sculpt process.
