Mermaid Potion

Hey! I'm bored, so here's a silly hypothetical question. If someone gave you a potion that would turn you into a mermaid(or merman) permanently, with no chance of turning human again, would you take it? Even if you have to give up everything human related and turn to the sea, alone? You wouldn't be able to speak with family and friends often/ if never, and you would have to survive in the ocean. But, You'd be able to breath underwater, and have the tail of your dreams. I'd do it. I have a pretty great life on land, however, there is just something about the ocean. So, would you do it, or not?

My question would be- are there other mermaids? If so how many? Do THEY know how to survive? Would they teach me the ropes and/or let me join up with them to keep safe? Because I'm a social kind of person, plus my health issues make it so I wouldn't be the greatest for "survival mode".

Nope.

I love my fiance, no matter how bonkers he drives me at times. I also love my dog - probably more, since the dog doesn't back-talk :p. So saying goodbye to those two things just isn't worth it.

Besides, with all the climate changes, pollution, etc. that's going on in the ocean right now, I'm not sure now is the time to "move into the neighborhood" as it were.... Lol

No I would not. I LOVE being an air head, creative and doing airy and earthy things like riding my horse, playing with my cat and watching birds, painting, playing piano. I dont think you can do all those things under water. Besides, you cant sing too well under water either. That's the domain of sirens who are actually creatures of air. I like the water but I am also firmly grounded on earth and particularly in the air realm

I guess it's one of those things where people who are single and have few commitments are more likely to say yes. I don't think I could leave my cats xD because there's no way I could tell them where I was going.

well I don't know about you but I would 100% live my life as a Merman any day I mean ya it might get lonely but I would manage. my friends would be the dolphins and whales, my "job" as a merman would be cutting nets if there's a turtle inside even if it has fish in it which could also be good since many countries are over fishing, hunting or crab, squid, and my favorite LOBSTER yum, and I bet that there would be others who took the same chance to become a Mer forever so id just form my very own pod.
