I plan on making a new neoprene tail an I was thinking on using like almost clear sequins up the tail like Mermaid bonnie's, but with larger sequins. Now I understand that you can sew them on an that is all fine an good but how do I keep them lying flat agenst the neoprene with other than them being sewed on? I want them to be on the neopene for good an not fall off. Or could somebody tell me a better way on how to make scales for my new tail or even pant them.

You could try gluing them on with e6000 in addition to sewing. I heard that works well

E6000 has been tried and works, but sequins will always come off now and then so they're not totally indestructible. Besides stencils and paint, I'm not sure sorry. I've used a fan paint brush to make scales on my fabric tails.
