So the last lost girl was a mermaid episode. That top is awesome.

I really think they could have done better, :/ That fluke looks like it wouldn't get enough propulsion to be worth anything in the water.

How is the show? It sounds pretty good.

I love this series, a lot. I'm an avid fan. They already did selkies, so I've been hoping for a mer episode. And this was it. Personally, I was disappointed, and I think they lost prime opportunity to do something much better. And I could have done without the view of the amputation- LG isn't usually that gross, but I suppose for this ep, they didn't have much of a choice. It was just sudden, but it could have been a lot worse- it wasn't realistic. I'm not saying that to spoil, but it's a bit of a warning for anyone who is squicked out by that kind of thing.

However, the stuff I did like... I won't mention because of spoilers. Maybe when people start talking about it more and it's been more widely viewed, as I'm sure it will be. But if you're watching LG for the first time with this ep, you're going to be kind of lost for a lot of it. No pun intended.

Yeah the tail was crappy but I loved the mermaid's tears. And I did like the mix of real and cgi.

The tail kind of makes me think of the larval mermaids in the Lost Voices books.
