Cosplay Halp! ComicCon FanX is in April...

And I can't decide what to cosplay. I know that I can just go as whomever the carp I want, but I would really like to look sort of like the character/actress, and I want a costume that looks good on a bigger body, and I don't like skimpy outfits ie, short skirts, sleeveless, loow cut in the front.
An ideas?

Two ideas already under consideration are
Fairy Mary (tinkerbell's boss)
And Counselor Deanna Troi of the USS Enterprise.

I have pictures up on my profile of myself, but they are a bit older. I'll try and post some more current ones tomorrow. I just need some ideas...

Have you tried looking at aliexpress for ideas? They have lots of ladies costumes and also plus sizes.

Maybe have a browse through http://animecharactersdatabase.com/ they have heaps of characters which you can pick hair, eyes and age etc. and just look at their clothes for something that suits.

I know you feel about deciding on a cosplay you should go with a character you really want to do :)

Oh gosh when you mentioned Troi the first thing I thought of was that episode when Data has a nightmare and Troi' s body is a cake. That really scared me for some reason as a kid.

That's a good idea. I don't watch a whole lot of anime anymore, so I'd probably have to pick a few characters and watch their shows to see if I like them.

I have issues with Aliexpress because I've seen them steal images from artists I watch. So no, I will not go through them. Thank you, though. I appreciate the help.
