Hi everyone :) My name is Marisa (my name means star of the sea.) I live just outside of LA in a beach city. I spend my free time at different beaches along the coast, I am obsessed with collecting seashells and I need to watch a ocean sunset at least 3 times a week. I am deeply spiritually connected to dolphins so much that if I read an article about the taiji killings I become depressed as if a personal family member was killed. I am an advocate for dolphins and whales and spend time bringing awareness about captivity. Other than being in love with the ocean, I am a massage therapist and reiki healer. I also give angel card and mermaid card readings. I volunteer and offer free reiki for cancer patients as well as those in hospice. Im looking forward to connecting with others on here and hopefully meeting some mer friends:)

Yes I love the coast! I am a beach girl for sure:) I think I would just die if I had to live in the Midwest or anywhere without the sea!

I had to move to Portland, Or for two years. I really can't describe how awful that was to live so far from the sea. People kept saying, "There's a river!" as if that's the same for someone who needs the sea. Oh it is not the same. I played waves on videos every night to get my daughter to sleep, tried to surround myself with oceany things while there, nearly lived at the Stellar's Sea Cove exhibit at their zoo. It was something I will NEVER do again.
