These earrings are made from the spines of Lionfish caught in the Atlantic. As you may or may not know, they are an invasive species in the Caribbean that have no natural predators and destroy native fish. Divers have been hunting them to try and bring down populations.

Yes! Great use of remains that would've been burn of left to rot or whatever it is that is done with the fish. Aaaaand they are super cute :)

Something I'll have to keep an eye out for on the Etsy store. They are beautiful and it's nice to see their are using what they kill instead of leaving it to rot.
