Waist 34 inches. I've lost 20 pounds but I still don't think I would fit good price for a spandex tail and monofin though!

Ryan look again; the first set of measurements are the *unstretched* ones. The top measurement stretches all the way to 37 on me; right under my belly button which is why i called it 'upper hip'.

I figured as much. ;) I switched the measurements around to have mine first; hopefully that will stop some of the confusion.

If the tail doesn't fit or you don't like the color I'd be happy to make another tail to go over this monofin. It would be a bit more money depending on your fabric and design choice but I have the time! :p

It's more of a money issue for me right now I have a comic book con at the end of the month and my monthly car insurance so I wouldn't be able to afford it till November.

I wasn't speaking specifically to you Ryan, just in general to anyone reading/interested. :D

BTW, I have no plans to make tails for general sale in the future; I atually rather dislike sewing stretch fabric. :p This is just to sell this one.

Then size 8.5 shoe for sure but I posted very detailed measurements so please go by those and not pant size.

I'm sorry but I don't know; it really depends on the person. I didn't make it to a size; I made it to a measurement. If your friend is interested just have her measure. :)
