We are trying to get some action going in the pod. A meet up this summer. Is there a leader for this pod? "Wake up" We need someone interested in leading us to victory.

From the member map it looks like Denver or Salt Lake City would be the best places to have a meet up.

I'd definitely love to come to a meet-up but unfortunately I'm in the process of relocating so I can't really afford to go very far from where I am. Which sucks, but I'll do my best :thumbs-up:

I would love to get a meet up going. I'm not sure how to accomplish it though, or even if I would want to claim responsibility for something like that, since I have som many other things happening right now.. (getting a house, new tail, sculpting a couple of tops, plus the normal routine of toddler, husband, housecleaning...)

let's look for something in july maybe try a resevior like cherry creek for a day on the beach. a bit of tail flopping. of course we do have to think about our fellow mers west of the rockies also. The more input we have the better we can all plan on something.

Not in denver, but I know the pool at the golden community center allows mermaids so long as they seem well versed in how to swim so the lifegaurds don't have to worry.

I'm still on it about the drive. If I can make it out for a meet-up, that'd be amazing, but I already have a family trip I'm planning for the early summer, up to the northwest. That one has to be priority because I haven't seen those cousins in over 5 years, few have ever met my hubby, and NONE have met my baby.
I'm afraid that might have to be the only trip I take this year.

Do we have a specific time in mind? It turns out that I'm moving sooner than I had anticipated and I might be in a better position to head out to the Denver area this summer after all, but I've got a lot going on in the summer, too, so I'd like to know what to plan around.

Also, edited to add that if I do end up going, I'm more than happy to also chauffer other Utah mers who'd like to go and we can split gas or something :)

Since it's early enough for it, I feel like we should just be like "july this date" with a backup weekend in case the weather is weird. It give people time to plan.

Oh one more important thing: Where are we meeting? So far I'm seeing suggestions for Cherry Creek and the Golden Community Center. I've never been to either so I can't really speak for either.

I've never been to Cherry Creek, but it sounds like it's outside. Why not plan for that? If the weather is weird or if it's not warm enough we can go to the GCC?

if you are on facebook just look for mermaids and mermen. there is a load of them from all over the country. it is a lot more active then mernetwork. you may even find ole friends on there.
