Hi everybody! My name is Tieri, and I'm from Newfoundland, Canada. I don't have a whole lot of personal experience, though I've been fascinated (and, okay, maybe slightly obsessed) with mermaids for the last several years. I'm really interested in learning more about it all and, someday, get a realistic tail of my very own!

Admittedly, I haven't really fleshed out my "mermaid-self" (is there a word for that?) very well, but I'm hoping that getting to talk to other mermaids and learning more about the mermaid community will help me come into my own. :D I don't know of any mermaids where I live, so I'm hoping to at least make a few friends online!

I think you live not far from a celebrity mermaid from Halifax, but I must admit, I don't know the geography of Canada very well. Glad to meet you!

@PearlieMae - Haha, I almost used the word "Mersona" since it seemed the most accurate but I was worried it might come off sounding silly. :P And yeah, Halifax isn't actually all that far from where I live, really! It's cool knowing there's at least another mermaid fairly close by!

A NEWF MERMAID YAY MERMAID NAIDA WONT BE THE ONLY ONE. Mermaid Naida (https://www.facebook.com/MermaidNaidaHFXMermaid?fref=ts) works for me and is from there as well, I run Halifax Mermaids and we're branching out to the Atlantic Provinces in Atlantic Mermaids :) By the time you flesh out your mermaid self I may be able to employ you hehe. It's always so awesome to have more Canadians here.

Being employed as a mermaid would be amazing! <3 It's so cool that you're making a group for Atlantic merfolk, I'd love to see more of them in this neck of the ocean! :D
