Hi! I'm Ari and am currently a college student dreaming of being a mermaid. I grew up in Hawaii and was a competitive swimmer for four years, and am now a Lifeguard. Needless to say, the water is my natural habitat!
I've always loved mermaids and didn't know that you could be one until I met a professional mermaid two years ago through a friend. I fell in love with her tail! At first I didn't think I could be one (I didn't think I was pretty enough, skinny enough, not really a performer, etc.) but within the past two years m dream has just grown way too much to ignore. I've been growing my hair out and dying it purple to feel like a mermaid and plan to spend this coming summer training myself and sewing a tail (with the help of my mom, who attended fashion design school and specializes in costumes). I am so excited that I found this website!
So until I've got a tail, I'm a landlocked mermaid- but a mermaid nonetheless!
