The Beau, who is turning into quite the mermaid tail connoisseur lately, watched an episode of About a Boy, the NBC show based on the Hugh Grant movie...he said that, during a party scene, there was a mermaid there for entertainment.
He said her tail was terrible! I haven't been able to find any photos or clips yet, but he says it was "bad halloween costume quality, printed nylon, no monofin" Nothing like the tails I've shown him. (We are all such excellent mers!)
He said The Boy character, Marcus, went to talk to her, and when he came back he said "she smoked cigarettes and said the F-word. A LOT."
The Beau said "If it weren't for the crappy tail and the cigarettes, it sounds a lot like you."
