One of the things about the 19 40s and the 1950s was how women all wore swim caps. It was considered de rigeur, it seems. I have photos of my relatives from the olden days at the beach and all the women are wearing them.

So I came across this 1950s photo of some women with funny caps that I just had to post

There are still funny caps around.
Like the cap that's designed as a shark mouth with a dorsal on top!

I'm always tempted to get that, paint over the mouth part, and then scare people out of the pool with just the dorsal showing (with my arms extended before me, the dorsal is just in the right place to make me look like a real shark)
Even better, I could put the cap on sideways, and then swim sideways under the surface.
Illusion would be perfect!

Now that I'm saying it, I really want to do this and have someone film it :rotfl:

Haha, those are so unique! I can imagine some little kids being a lil bit confused by them at first glance, too. :P
