I thought this would be interesting, and I know what I do is kinda weird but anyway on to the topic.

I play with my hobbies! They are weaving (have a rigid heddle loom and a potholder loom), dabble in card weaving, cavandoli knotting, toy with beads (bead looming and jewelry making), macrame and kumihimo braiding.

Recently found some mermaid patterns that I can use for bead looming and cavandoli knotting.

I love that- kumihimo braiding is really cool. My ex was getting quite skilled at it, and had made me a few necklaces. And I hope you'll share pics here of whatever mermaid items you create with the other things you mentioned. :)

Me, I'm a single mom so most of my time is spent momming and keeping house. As far as hobbies go, a lot of what I love probably isn't considered a hobby- working out when I don't have a migraine, going dancing, cooking and sewing. I often get online in whatever few minutes I find here and there, so my use is sporadic- which is probably good, 'net stuff is too easy to get sucked into. When I get larger blocks of time, I write and self-edit the writing, go down to the beach and hunt for lovely shells at low tide, and we take a lot of walks. I've no car, so living in a beach village is ideal for that. Need anything- almost anything- just take a walk and pick it up.

I also make jewelry. I made a few pieces last year and was going to put up an etsy shop, but various things happened and I took it down. But I'm almost ready to put some things back up. I have pieces I've made that I wear and a number I made to sell. Hopefully I can sell some and use the money toward either making a tail, or getting some old tattoos worked on.

Once I get some up on etsy, I'll post pics again.

Besides mermaiding? Fool with my fish tanks, play piano, go boating, and study latin. I stay pretty busy for the most part. I'm also planning on taking scuba lessons within the next few months, so that will take up some time as well.

That's awesome! What are my hobbies? Well, I do burlesque from time to time when something comes up that I think I can physically handle with my health issues...I also eat fire and do fire contact tricks...I know, I have some strange hobbies, haha. Then I study a lot, mainly sea creatures and also psychology. I used to foster cats but stopped after I adopted my last foster, I'm thinking of doing it again, though...I also read cards (medicine cards, they're kinda like tarot only...not?) and I'm currently learning palmistry (the art of palm reading). I used to sing out at open mics but I'm too impatient to learn an instrument and my musical partner gave up playing instruments, so I'm trying to work something out with someone else to continue doing that, too! :D

Sometimes I'll have a wiki marathon where I just look at different wiki pages. I might watch some tv show like H20 or some detective show or Top Gear (I just skip the car reviews and Big star small car bits). Most of the time though I will work on cosplay and clothing related searches.

To avoid work, I tend to read fanfiction. Like a shitton of fan fiction. Or sometimes browse tumblr. Anything else (like watching TV) I can do while also working on something with my hands (like crafting or homework). But if I'm reading I have to put my full attention into it.

I make up costumes, doodle them and go on forums such as this one. Which I'm doing now instead of working :P

At the moment I'm designing costumes for the 30 day monster girl challenge, just not 30 days and there's not 30 monsters.....

I have several GB worth of images that I slowly am organizing to categories. I'm OCD about my images I have folders with in folders so if I need to find a picture of that one tribal blonde elf for one of the Tabletop games I'm apart of I can find it instantly.
