What to tell this person.. HELP ME PLEASE

Ok, so on facebook there is an adult male who has some mental disabilities asking me how to become a merman. This person states that they want to be just like me.. I really don't know what to tell this person because they genuinely believe that mermaids exist and that we are not real people in tails... I don't want to be the mean person to crush his dreams... Please help

I would just tell him that *your* tail is a costume. I wouldn't come out with the "mermaids aren't real" speech, but be clear that your tail is a prosthetic piece.

Katrina I wouldn't engage at all
I had a situation like that and the man found my business number and started calling me leaving messages and stalking me in person. I had to call the police :( you dont owe anyone a response. You dont have to reply and quite often Thats the safest measure
