I finished watching this last week. There are no subtitles but I got the gist of it from the tone of their voices, facial expressions and the funny dings that this show likes to play.

AT first I thought it was Dyesebel under another name, but its not. Its a totally different show.

Its a Thai version of The Little Mermaid.

Side note:
Check out the cute pink tail on the little one in the pool! Its from the same show, they're testing the tails.

Watched a fair amount of it…really interesting stuff. Let's see…there are approximately six thousand languages on earth, I know about 1 1/3. If there's this genius to be found just by looking in Thai, I wonder what else there is.

Am I going crazy, or are those the tails in this thread (http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?1031-New-Asian-Tailmaker&highlight=asian+tailmaker)?

I was wondering what they were going to be used for, so if they are, it's nice to see them in the actual production!

You're not crazy Anahita. Methinks he just makes the one style, as I've seen them in other Thai mermaid TV shows too.

Or maybe that's how Thai mermaids are. Just like mermaids in Western cultures have bigger tails and flukes, the Asian ones have smaller tails and flukes, and are oranges and reds.

Other than that, I don't really know. Its just my perception of how mermaids in other cultures are to me.
