Hey everyone,

I'm looking for the best Lightroom export settings for uploading photos to Facebook without losing too much quality. I know Facebook compresses images heavily, so I want to optimize my export settings to minimize quality loss. What file format, resolution, and compression settings do you recommend?

Should I resize the image beforehand, and what color space works best? Any specific tips to keep sharpness and detail intact? I'd appreciate any advice or presets that have worked well for you.

Thanks in advance!

For the best quality when exporting from Lightroom, use JPEG format with the sRGB color space to ensure accurate colors. When adjusting Lightroom export settings for Facebook (https://thelrapk.net/lightroom-export-settings/), set the resolution to 72 PPI and resize the longest side to 2048 pixels, as Facebook handles this size better with less compression. Keep the quality between 80-85% to balance file size and detail. For sharpening, select "Sharpen for Screen" with either Standard or High to maintain clarity. These settings help minimize Facebook's aggressive compression while keeping your images looking their best.
