Hi everyone,

I’ve recently purchased a Windows 11 Pro key, but I’m running into issues when trying to activate it. The activation fails, and I receive an error saying the key is either invalid or incompatible with my current version.

I’m using Windows 11 Home right now—could this be the cause? What steps should I take to switch from Home to Pro or resolve the activation issue? Any advice on what might be going wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

To switch from Windows 11 Home to Pro, you need to upgrade your edition. First, go to Settings, then System > About. Under Windows specifications, click on "Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows." Once you select "Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro," enter your Windows 11 Pro key (https://gist.github.com/sevynkooper/8e60a6038b10e57c31830f279a026bef). After entering the key, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Once the upgrade is done, you should be able to activate Windows 11 Pro without any issues.
