I would like to know more about the history of the MerCommunity!

Hey everyone, hope all are doing well. I am still highly new to this community. And was wondering if anyone could give me some information (or links to posts already) on the history, do's and don'ts of the mercummunity. There is so much information on this website that it gets overwhelming for me to look through, so wanted to know if I could get some help. I don't have many friends in the community either, so those are welcome as well! haha. Thank you, and hope to make some fishy friends and learn a lot! Thank you so much.

Also FYI for anyone who was wondering- I did get full permission from the original owner of the photo (the reference page banner that is a photo from Merfest) by the owner of the photo, for it's use :)
