xPON / High-speed Internet

Hey everyone! I keep seeing xPON listed in internet provider ads — is it actually worth going for? Not sure if it's just a marketing term or if it really makes a difference in daily use. Would love to hear from someone who's tried it.

xPON is definitely not just buzz. My home internet runs on this technology, and the difference is noticeable. The speed stays high even during peak hours, and connection drops are practically nonexistent. One of the big perks is that it uses minimal active equipment, so there’s less chance of failure.
