Was up late the other night just clicking around looking for fun games and landed on this site called Player 1. I figured it’d be one of those flashy casino things, but it’s not. It’s all skill stuff, like actual chess and strategy games and you can win money if you’re good.
Honestly didn’t even think sites like this were real. I always assumed anything involving money online meant slots or something sketchy. This felt kinda different though, like actually legit?
Just wondering if anyone’s heard of it or played on stuff like this before. Curious if it’s the real deal or if I’m being too hopeful.

Yo, I know exactly what you mean — I stumbled onto something similar a while back and had the same reaction. You hear “win money online” and your brain instantly goes, “okay scam or slot machine nonsense,” right? But yeah, I checked out that Player 1 site too and it’s actually kind of wild. Like real games, actual skill-based stuff, not just clicking buttons and praying for a payout.
I was half-expecting pop-ups and shady vibes, but it felt pretty clean. I tried a few rounds of chess (got destroyed, not gonna lie) but the fact that you can actually win based on being good at something?? Kinda refreshing.
Still doing my skeptical due diligence, but so far it feels more legit than half the apps clogging the App Store.

I might need to give these a shot each as well. Who knew there were so many!

I’ve heard of WorldWinner and Skillz too. They lean more into casual games like Bejeweled, Solitaire, or trivia, and you can still win money, but it’s definitely not the same vibe as playing chess or strategy-heavy stuff like on Player 1.
If Player 1 is focusing more on “gamer’s games” (like actual competitive skill), that feels like a step up in intensity. Like World Gaming League sounds closer in spirit, with more of an esports-type approach.

ikrr? The minute I hear about any of these sites, I can't help but think they're scam.
