Hey everyone, my microwave turns on, the light works, and the plate spins, but it doesn’t heat the food at all. Tried different settings, but no luck. Do you think this can be fixed, or is it better to replace it altogether?

That’s a classic sign the magnetron or high-voltage parts might have failed. While replacing a microwave is sometimes easier, many of the better models are worth fixing. If you’re in Seattle or Bellevue, Major Appliance Repair https://majorappliancerepair.info/ is a solid option to check out. They specialize in fast in-home appliance repair, which means they’ll send someone over quickly to figure out what’s wrong without you hauling it anywhere. What’s good is their $80 service call gets applied to the repair if you go ahead, so you’re not paying twice. They usually stock common parts, so you might even have your microwave back in working order the same day. Honestly, having a pro test it is safer than poking around inside on your own.
