Hi all you lovely mer people.

I am currently removing the latex scaled from my fish butt tail and completely redoing it, however this process is taking Forever! Anyone know anything I can do to get this stuff off any faster?

Thank a lot and greetings from London.

Sam

And how are you doing this?

Slowly pulling it off the neoprene. Very dry slowly!

With a knif? Or with file?

Just my nails. It comes ok but just slow. Think I need to soak it in hot water or something.

Yeah, or put it on fire lol (I really don't know if neoprene became fire!)

Have you tried vinegar in a spray bottle? It can help, apparently, and it can be washed from the material beneath it.

I haven't tried this myself, but I saw it here: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/remodel/msg0712204510940.html

Lots of other liquids mention would soak into the fabric beneath the latex and ruin it.
