Don't ever remember seeing this tail or one of a similar design on this forum but I could be wrong. Either way, this looks like a steal (and free shipping)!!

$400 Mermaid Tail on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dragon-Skin-Silicone-Mermaid-Tail-With-Finis-Wave-Monofin-/231193196099?pt=US_Costumes&hash=item35d4303643)

It's really pretty, though I can see the monofin right through the silicone. It could be repainted to hide that, perhaps. Unfortunately much too small for me. I wonder who made it?

The scales remind me of FishButts but the paintjob reminds me of MerDivas...I do wonder who made it. Looks like a deal, though.

I'm pretty sure it's a fishbutts. I remember her monofins being super visible in the tails when they were painted pastel, or light colors.

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I just remeasured myself and it would actually fit me perfectly!!!! I'm gonna ask my husband when he gets home if I can buy it!!!

Lovely colors! But a bit to small for me.

Sure the monofin is visible, but that's absolutely beautiful, and a hell of a deal! I'd be so tempted to go for it, but my money's going to be going to Morticia soon.

That and the sizing is way off from me... Some areas are too big, others too small or too short... XD Definitely not the tail for me, unfortunately!

I don't think it's a MerDivas. Good luck, Aziara!

Can someone do a screenshot of the pictures of this tail on Ebay? I can't see the page because I live in France :(

@ Arion- That work for you?

I think it's one of Fishbutts full silicone ones. The pattern on the fluke looks just like it. I didn't know she actually made any for anyone though. This would be the first of her's (the full silicone ones that is) that I've seen off her site.

@Marlin > Perfect! Thanks a lot! :)

There is NO WAY that this tail is a MerDivas. The quality is really different.

Didn't Stevie move to Europe to ran away from the people she scammed?? Also the pattern of this fluke is different from her previous silicone tails. Where is that tail based exactly? If it's in America, then, it's made by someone we don't know yet. Or if it was made by Stevie, then, it could be a custom order she made from someone in the past and that person has decided to sell it.

@ Arion- No problem.

Could it be one of Finfolk's early tails? I know they used rapids in their earliest tails.

Indeed but the pattern of their rounded scales are different.

that's not a Finfolk tail from their debut.

Congrats, Aziara! :D Be sure to post lots of pics and video when you get it, I'd love to see how it looks in the water!

I'm pretty sure it's a FishButt at this point...the paint job and the scales match her work very closely imo. She made a few silicone tails before disappearing, and this might have been one of them.

Congratulations!

Regarding the MerDivas thing, didn't she only make the one we've all seen at this point? I don't think there are more.

I just saw the scale shapes, paint job and fluke and they reminded me of the three MerDivas tails we've seen. ( https://www.facebook.com/MerdivasStudios/photos_stream ) I don't know it for a fact, but I dunno, they just seem similar to me.

FishButts also did the one color of silicone tails and charged extra for more than one, while this one seems to be several colors.

It's fish butts. The last batch of silicone tails that were completed and shipped out had that fluke shape. There are other things but that's the big one! On my phone so I came post links, but Adella and at least one other person got tails (although poorly made, sadly) with that fluke shape before Stevi disappeared.

Congrats! I can't wait to see it in person! Are you still going to make your own silicone tail as well?

Congrats! I can't wait to see it in person! Are you still going to make your own silicone tail as well? I can't wait to get this tail! I got so excited when I was buying it I almost passed out from hyperventilating! I'm probably going to put construction on my tail on hold, as paying for this tail cut into my tail funds. I'm going to keep what progress I have though, so that whenever this tail gets worn out, I'll pick up where I left off.

Why does the fluke look exactly like the MerFin?

Grats Aziara!

Hope to see you in it soon! Its a very pretty color.

Yay Aziara! Yeah, that's for sure a fish butts tail, but I like the colors, you can use silicone paint to paint over it and should be able to make it less translucent but still that opal-ly feel. :-) Love it, that's a huge steal.

Wow... This is actually weird.

The tail has not even 3 months and the owner is already selling it?! I wonder why

If it's a tight fit, like I said, the seams will hurt and take the joy out of using a tail :/ though don't know what the reason is why the tail is being sold, but that's my "best guess"

MerEmma

They said it was used once for a photoshoot, maybe they got their use out of it and that's all they wanted? Dunno.

I'll be honest with you, while I really love the Mertailor's idea of being able to use the fluke as a separate monofin and have interchangeable tailskins like the body... I really can't stand that flap that goes over the fluke. :( It's such a minor pet peeve, really, and even besides that it's a beautiful tail, but all the videos I've seen of this tail style have all just had that bit over the fluke kind of loosely flapping around and it just looks kind of unattractive.

That said, it's a shame the owner's selling it so soon after getting it, and I hope it finds a good home!

My tail has seams like that, and I have a good tight fit, but it doesn't hurt at all, you can barely tell that they are there.

I saw these tails at merfest and the flukes and skins didn't line up on any. There was a very obvious gap. One mermaid had to resew hers to fit and added extra pieces to it to cover the gap. I have photos and video of it but I don't think it would be fair to put the mermaid on the spot and risk flack from Eric directs at her.

Sorry if this is off topic...

But I have been wondering, are these silicone tails warm? When you put it on, does it keep you warm whilst swimming?

Got a reply from the mertailor tail that is still currently for sail. They said there is nothing wrong with it, the tail just ended up being a bit too big and they changed their mind about what they were intending to do with it (parties, etc.). So good news, this tail is perfectly fine!

I really dont think they should have taken a close up shot of the scales though because they dont look great
