I haven't posted until now to make sure I wasn't going to back out, but I've ordered everything and figured I'm in too far to back out now so it's time to let you guys know. I've got my neoprene, half my scales, my monofin and the other half of my scales are on their way and will be here soon. I'm going to make a sequin tail using flat, not shell, sequins. it's going to be mostly silver, with patches of blue, green, and purple scales. As soon as my monofin gets here, I will start sewing.
I added this in the wrong place. can an Admin please move it? I feel really stupid. next time, no internet when I'm tired.
Aaaahhh! :jawdrop:  It's... so booty-full....
The pic kinda made me think about Rainbow Fish. :)

Shouldn't this thread be on the "tailmaking" section instead of the "classifieds" section? That's confusing

I was really tired and didn't pay attention. I realized too late that I was in the wrong section.
as far as an update, I'm waiting on my monofin to get here

I've cut out the neoprene and have started sequinning. I'm not that far yet because I'm both gluing and sewing, but it's looking great. I'll upload a picture soon

Sorry for the terrible lighting and camera-ing. I did not realize how shaky that came out looking

UPDATE! i'm done with side one of my tail. starting side two tomorrow! and I'll get a picture up as soon as I discover a better way to take a picture of a shiny reflective tail. maybe I won't be taking this one in the ocean around predators that like shiny things.

OK, so a terrible occurrence befell my tail and it is being shifted from a sequin tail to a painted neoprene with scars. anyone wanna help me come up with stories for the scars?

Sad news. this tail died before ever getting it's first water test. It was a good learning experience though. Good news, I did make a new spandex tail that I will be showing soon
