Ok I was looking on Ebay the other day an a shop had a Finis Competitor for sale. It was $210 an free shipping. Now the person raised the price to $269. So that blows that idea for me on getting that. But here is my question. How does a waterway model 1 monofin compare to a Finis Competitor? The blade on the Waterway model 1 is 70 cm which is just over 27 inches. Does the waterway monofin perform just like the competitor? or is it the same as the competitor. The reason I am asking I can get a Waterway monofin cheaper the the $269 on Ebay.

I just ordered the Waterway model 2, which is just the female version of that particular fin, so when it gets here, I'll let you know how well it does. On the freediving forum I'm on, they all agree that Waterway is great for everyone and a few say it's better than a competitor. Most say it's your choice, but for people who have a lower price range, they always suggest the Waterway models

I've had my Waterway for a couple years, and it has phenomenal propulsion! I've never tried a competitor, but I imagine it's just as good. The thing about Waterways is that you need to buy a fin that's like 3 sizes bigger than you think you need because they are TIGHT. I have size 8 (Women's) and a size 240 Waterway, and it's pretty painful. But if you get a big size, then you'll be great.
