Yes. MermaidsRUs has some nasty flukes. They also sold Waikiki Mermaid a tail with an unswimmable monofin.... I'm amazed to see there was actually a real monofin in this one (albeit a broken one)

That's bad business workings. Did you use E6000 to glue the tail to the MerFin?

I used some silicone caulking, but if it fails I will go get some E6000 ;)

I saw Waikiki Mermaid's tail first hand and it was in bad bad shape, her monofin was two little sheets of thin vinyl, it was weird, super glittery which I loved loads, but the rest made it unswimmable. :-( Fifi way to go girl, that is crazy, I would cry if my tail came like that. There is no reason for a monofin cut like that at all, and broken like that. I'm sorry. But it's super cute now.

Riiarin you can definitely send them and also did you purchase it brand new because the inside of the fluke had beach sand all through it? And yes Mermaid Harmony it was in an unusable state, but I look on the bright side of things these days and it may have been crap but now it's beautiful and I feel super proud that I did this! :D xx

My guess is that after their epic fail with Waikiki, they just couldn't continue with whatever fake material they were using until now. They had to change their ways but I seriously didn't expect a broken monofin. That's reaching a new low.
I'm even amazed that this business is run by the mother of this girl who has been crowned "international mermaid" in the merpalooza mermaid pageant. But that's unrelated. Is it?

If you're interested in buying, sure. I did cut the fluke open though to see what was inside and it didn't come with an actual monofin. But if you're okay with just the skin I'd be happy to sell it to you. It's just taking up space on my lanai.

Are you going to fix the scales too? I just noticed the second pic, the scales look very rough on the sides. Almost like someone put a cover on it whilst it was wet and then pulled it off.

There are many spots wear the very thin fabric shows through but I wont be fiddling too much more with it. As long as it looks good in my pictures and the teens/adults are having fun is fine with me :)
