Hello everyone, you can call me Macabrelle and I look forward to meeting you!
While I have loved mermaids since I was young (hard to pinpoint exactly where or when), I only just recently found out about mermaiding and swimmable tails! I've always been fascinated by the sea and marine life which I suppose I have my mom to blame. She always had aquariums set up around the house with various kinds of fish, and she used to take us to the Shed Aquarium in Chicago when they had free kids days.
As of right now I have a few tanks of my own filled with natural plants and fish such as danios, tetras, cory cats, and I even have a beta! I love to swim, though where I live it's only warm enough to do that a few months out of the year. I came across professional mermaids and silicone tails one day when I was looking for a reference for a painting I was working on (I love to draw, paint, and write creative fiction!). I was in awe at how beautiful and real their tails looked and excited that someone could really have a career out of being a mermaid! It really reignited my passion for mer-mythology.
While professional mermaiding may not be a goal for my future, I am looking at possibly getting a tail at some point just for fun. I hope you will all tolerate my questions and enjoy my artistic input!
