[Mermaid Jewel]

Hey!

For Halloween, I made this headpiece to go with my Steampunk Angel Costume (It's mean to be sort of a halo I guess)

I'm thinking it could be used as a mer accessory too. I'm planning to make another one more mermaid-y and I'll post it soon :)

Hang a shell instead of a key! Instant mer headband!!

Hanging a shell would be cool, although I just want to point out that it already could be used even with the key. For one thing that doesn't look much like a key anyway, and even if people can tell its a key, that would still work for a mermaid since it would have a found object, infatuated with human things sort of look.

Yeah the next one I'm making is probably going to be silver and pearls. If I can find my wire... And this was pretty easy to make, I just used jewelry wire (pretty thick wire) and then covered it with floral tape, painted it, glued jewels, and I used a piece of black cord to tie on the key then painted the cord bronze.

It does look really cute and cool and mysterious, Mermaid Jewel! They key is all mysterious, silvery, and kingdom-heartsy. That said, I can picture it with a shell, nautilus, starfish, sand dollar, gold doubloon, or plenty of other centerpieces as well. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with :)
