Mermaid Amelia

Hi everyone! I've been really interested in the different types of tops people use, and there are so many out there. We have a show us your tails thread, so why not a show us your top thread? Our tops are a really important part of our mermaid costume and they come in a variety of styles. Is yours bought or did you make it yourself? Is it for dry or wet events? Maybe you have several, which one is your favourite?
This is the first top I made. It is basic silicon shells stuck on to a bikini. This is pre babies so my boobies were a lot smaller and a shell was all I needed to cover them:http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/20/yza6ujet.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/20/aheta4u2.jpg
And then I had my twins (as well as pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes) so my body had changed quite a bit. I recycled the silicone shells from the previous top and stuck them on a larger bikini top, I also added a few pearls to decorate the area on the bikini that was not covered by the shells. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/20/ure2y5a5.jpg
I soon needed a new top as the fabric wore quite quickly and I loss a bit of the baby weight. This top is a painted gold bikini with blue netting and pearls http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/20/asyjaqaj.jpg
I have had a few problems with this top being a bit too booby. I think I will buy a professional silicone top when I finish breastfeeding and my boobs stop fluctuating in size.
I'm currently working on a more secure top from a sports bra that I hope will be more appropriate, pics to come soon xx
