This forum means a lot to me, since it's my easiest and fastest connection to other mers, even those half a world away!
And strangely enough, when it comes to discussing things non mer related, I'd still rather talk about it here than in some other place, even when the answers elsewhere might be more knowledgeable lol.

Caltuna, I think it might be because many mers also share similar views on non-mer related stuff (environmental issues, similar tastes in TV programmes, LGBTI rights etc.) And since for many of us being in the water is our preferred state of existence, we might also have similar sentiments about "boring land things" (bureaucracy, house cleaning etc.)
